Listening to Community
This summer, the Minnesota Humanities Center (MHC) hosted nine listening sessions throughout the state to help us better understand local needs and seek community solutions. We invited participants to discuss key issues and offer new possibilities for change, with one foot securely directed towards the future. We wanted to know specifically, what areas of focus are the most pressing and what integrative approaches and supports enable diverse and divergent voices to be at the center of the discourse. Statewide involvement will help shape the development of MHC’s strategic priorities and strategic direction for the next three to five years.
This first round of conversations have been so engaging and productive that we are adding a few more – watch for locations and dates to be added soon.
