Minnesota's Poet Laureate Nominations
The process to name Minnesota’s next Poet Laureate begins. The Minnesota Humanities Center (MHC), along with Minnesota’s Center for the Book, is launching the process to solicit applications and nominations, and to make recommendations to the Governor for Minnesota’s next Poet Laureate.
Nominations and applications for Minnesota’s next Poet Laurate are due by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Minnesota's Poet Laureate Review Panel
MHC seeks a diverse group of individuals familiar with poetry and enthusiastic about the role of Minnesota’s Poet Laureate to participate in an independent Review Panel. The role of the Review Panel is to assess all nominations received and make recommendations for Minnesota’s next Poet Laureate.
Interest forms due no later than 8:00 a.m. March 15, 2021.

Serve on our Board of Directors
Candidates must be residents of Minnesota who are interested in advancing the mission and work of MHC. Active participation in quarterly meetings, committees, and other outreach activities is required. We are especially seeking culturally diverse candidates and/or candidates who currently reside in greater Minnesota.
