Explore OPS’s Priority, Ethic of Care, through a focused cultural Immersion into Omaha’s Indigenous community. You’ll learn from authentic voices of the Omaha community in a program that recognizes the centrality of caring and interdependent, personal relationships. Our aim is to foster respect, humility and to promote social diversity. Hosts of each Immersion lead with and share their voices. Through Immersions, teachers and staff of all classifications can gain greater insights into the diverse educational, emotional and social needs of OPS students and their families. Immersions also build upon previous parent/student-teacher interactions to maximize relationships and foster academic growth. Through direct experience and reflection, please join us in creating Immersions-based conversations and open dialogues aimed at acceptance and understanding. We look forward to exploring Omaha with you!

This Immersions About Place cohort focuses solely on The Indigenous.
