Explore Omaha’s cultural heritages from home this summer! For the first time, Minnesota Humanities is bringing our Immersions About Place cohort experiences ONLINE! As a cohort participant, you’ll have five distinct immersion experiences, each connected to the cultural legacies of the city: Indigenous, North Omaha, African Immigrant and Refugee, Karen, and South Omaha. You’ll learn from members of the Omaha community firsthand and hear the untold richness connected to where students reside. You’ll explore the authenticity of landmarks, established with pride and dignity, and that in many instances now coexist amidst the challenges so often associated with the resilience of students. We hope you’ll travel through Omaha with us!
