This course draws off of the experience of an Indigenous therapist working with students and families in the public school system who are also involved in the court system and foster care. Indigenous populations’ experiences and perspectives from other communities are incorporated throughout the course too. Educators will find this course useful because it offers information on trauma and the developing brain and shares helpful tools and insights on what has worked with students struggling with family difficulties.
